Nell & Hiyori

October 10, 2009

For many of my friends they know I’m a huge Bleach fan. I really, really love the Excellent Model figures. I was a little disappointed with the recent DX figures and Toynami figures.

Well up next is Alpha Omega. Judging by the pre-order pics Nell and Hiyori look amazing. I really hope the pictures don’t do them justice. My pre-order has been submitted and I anxiously await their arrival.

How about you? What do you think about the current Bleach figures out now?

Miku Kagami Nendoriod!!

January 6, 2009

Well, it’s time for another Pre-Order!  For some that know me to well, I love Lucky Star.  And Good Smile has just announced a Miku Kagami Nendoriod.  If you’re not familiar with the Kagami Miku figure, she appeared in the Lucky Star OVA.

The Nendoriod looks fantastic.  Looks like I’ll be pre-ordering 2 or 3 of them, just to put them in playful scenes with my other Nendoriods.

Scheduled for a May Release in Japan.

Check out the pics below.

Lucky Star – Kagami & Tsukasa Set

August 25, 2008

Well, I haven’t posted in awhile. It’s probably because I’m in total writers block right now.

I do want to brag a little bit on a new anime figure I just got in the mail. This is one figure I’ve been wanting for awhile, and all the places I normally purchase from were out of stock.

And if I did find one, usually on eBay, the price was just outrageous!

I was lucky enough to find one at beNippon. Their shipping and Credit Card transaction fee is a little high, but compared to the $150 price tag on eBay, it was still a great deal.

Here are a few pictures. This really is probably one of my favorite figures in my collection.

Tite Kubo is my hero

August 1, 2008

Everyone that knows me knows that Bleach is the anime that really started my obsession. (Thanks Rachel) Well turns on that Tite Kubo, the creator of Bleach, was at the San Diego Comic Con this past week. He gave everyone that was able to attend his panel a glimpse of his studio, what his inspiration for the whole Bleach series, and even answered a few questions.

He was surprised by the size of Comic Con, which is his first time to visit. He then showed some pictures of his office, which hasn’t been seen by any of the public. He has a few assistance that work with him, but he picks out the music personally that plays through out the office. His music choices are quite widespread, with over 2000 CDs to choose from within his studio.

When asked about what influenced him into creating Bleach, he said it was inspired by wanting to draw shinigamis in kimonos and make something no one has see before. It all started with the character Rukia, (my sister-in-law’s favorite) and just went from there.

He was also asked if we would learn more about Ichigo’s father, Isshin. Looks like he has a back story in the works. I’m totally excited about that. Tons of rumors and speculations are running around about Ichigo’s father, and I can’t wait to find out.

Well, those are just some of the great snippets of Tite Kubo’s appearance. Make sure to check out giapnet.net for the full coverage!

Pre-Orders are addicting…

July 31, 2008

I really need to stop going to Anime Figure sites. I came across these two figures, and I didn’t even hesitate. I pre-ordered them right away. Do you ever get second thought right when you’re about to click on the BUY or PRE-ORDER button? Happens to me every time. But I don’t think I have ever cancelled a transaction. I’m sure I’m going to need some sort of intervention down the road.

Check out the Gallery for the figures. They look great!!

Nagato 1/4 Figure by FREEing

Nagato FREEing Figure

Nagato FREEing Figure

Well, I’ve been starting to collect the FREEing series of Haruhi Suzumiya figures. I must say, they are a lot larger then I imaged. This figure is HUGE!! It won’t even fit in my display case. But it’s pretty obvious why these figures have sold out so quick. Look at this thing! The quality is just fantastic. There are a total of 6 figures (so far) in the set. I have 2 right now. 4 more to go! My wallet is not going to be happy….
